Residential Treatment for Addiction in Washington State

Residential treatment is available through our affiliate Free By The Sea in Ocean Park, WA for individuals working toward recovery from alcohol addiction and drug rehabilitation. The 30 to 90 day programs for addiction is designed to provide a safe, structured living facility.

What to Expect When

First you will meet with the intake and admissions specialist to ensure you feel safe and comfortable at the facility. A thorough assessment will be conducted with a certified chemical dependency counselor. The assessment will give relevant insight required to develop a unique and effective treatment program specific for the client’s individual needs. It will include the client background and history, addictions and patterns of use, and issues including family issues pertinent to the client.

While You Are At the Campus

Group therapy, one-on-one counseling, 12-step meetings, presentations, and educational group sessions are included in the program. During group therapy and one-on-one counseling, these topics will be covered:

Addiction Education

  • Relapse prevention
  • Disease and recovery

Life Skills Education

  • Family of origin
  • Thinking errors

Anger Management

  • Coping mechanisms
  • Emotion regulation

In addition, recreational activities including exposure to meditation and art therapy as part of the recovery process.

Transitional Treatment Program

The program also offers a transitional treatment program for individuals who need continued alcohol or drug rehab support with a less structured approach for up to one year. This is ideal for clients who have previously received treatment drug or alcohol issues.

Based on the recovery house model, the program allows for time for individuals to work or go to school in the community while residing at the residential facility and continuing their alcohol or drug rehab treatment. This model provides for the opportunity for clients to become increasingly confident and secure using the coping and life skills they have developed as they prepare for their eventual return home.

Transitional program residents have access to one-on-one counseling, are required to attend group counseling sessions, and may attend education groups as requested.
